Susan began working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with our company in 1981. She holds a Bachelors Degree from California Polytechnical State University in Child Development with Minor in Family Psychology . She has also completed graduate level coursework and hundreds of hours of continuing education necessary to maintain state certification.
Susan has specialized in providing Job Placement, Labor Market Survey and Job Analysis in relation to individuals with and without disability. After working for our company and others in Oregon she returned to the Bay Area where she was employed utilizing her exceptional marketing skills.
In 1998 we were very fortunate to have Susan return to our Portland office. Since then she has continued to specialize in Job Placement. She has developed an impressive connection with employers with regard to most all industries, professions and occupations.
Susan's work enables us to answer the important questions which cannot be addressed utilizing published employment data alone. While other counselors and placement specialists complain about difficulties reaching employers to obtain key information about opportunities, Susan has cultivated and enjoys a unique and valuable book of business contacts and is well known in the area as a true placement professional. She has often been called upon by others in the field for assistance with placement issues
In addition to her work in placement, Susan is fully certified to provide Vocational Rehabilition services to Oregon Injured workers. She additionally provides Career Counseling services and performs testing.
For several years Susan has also been under contract with the Social Security Administration providing Vocational Expert Testimony.
